  In the healthcare, hi tech and other sectors with highly valued or regulated product, it is crucial to have access to product pedigree data such as lot number, date of manufacturer and expiry date to address the issues of counterfeiting, diversion and product recall accuracy. However traditional definitions of pedigree are expanding. The FDA increasingly wants proof that the cold chain has been maintained, and manufacturers of sensitive electronics want field technicians to have easy access to complete product manufacturing and maintenance history.


 

 

Visible Assets technology is unique in its ability to exceed the combined functions of an electronic data logger which typically costs between $400 and $1,000, and an EPC RFID tag.

t-Tags are smart and powered and have a large memory so they can easily store very complete pedigree and geneology data on the tag, so that the pedigree data can be accessed anywhere – regardless of availability of communications links.

The asset conditions data - GPS location, temperature, moisture levels, tilt, shock and light exposure - is sent to a non-alterable sever with an independent NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) clock so that the pedigree and product conditions cannot be changed. This comprehensive history and level of security is both impossible to achieve with data loggers and is far easier to maintain and access than the manual serial logging process used by loggers.
